Work: Tile mural
client: Fanico
date: 2025
This project began with an invitation from João, one of the founders of Fanico, who commissioned a mural for the restaurant.
The concept draws from a shared Portuguese visual heritage. Growing up surrounded by tile murals across houses, churches, and public spaces, this language felt both familiar and deeply rooted. As a Portuguese restaurant, the mural reinforces Fanico’s identity through this cultural reference.
Composed of 276 hand-painted tiles, the piece spans the wall of the open kitchen, becoming a central element of the space.
