Created in collaboration with Devin, this series of eight works explores the relationship between a painting and its frame.
In each piece, the body's pose informs the shape of the frame, and the frame, in turn, influences the painting's composition. Rather than functioning simply as a container, the frame becomes an extension of the work itself.
Together, the eight pieces create a dialogue between body, form, and material, while also interacting as a larger composition.
The paintings are made with Ecoline on clayboard, with solid wood frames handcrafted by Devin in black walnut, cherry, and white oak.
